Crayola Killing

Remember when I told you about Tucker’s really bizarre habit of biting inflatable toys?  I’m sad to report that yet another bit the dust. While at a fall festival yesterday, Tucker tested his strength by whacking a gong thing. He won (everybody wins, but he doesn’t realize this and I’m not about to burst his happy bubble)! Prize picking time!  Should he choose the blow-up Spiderman? The inflatable Superman?  The giant bat?  In the end, we left with a big blue inflatable crayon, and he was totally excited. Considering the pride he took in carrying it around, it’s hard to believe it led such a short life.

Here’s Tucker proudly showing off his new win:

And here he is pretending to color with it:

He also hugged it the whole way home (I didn’t take a photo in the car, but isn’t it cool how I made the tree blurry out the car window?  Totally lifelike!):

Once home, I stepped into the bathroom for less than three minutes.  Once finished, I came out to see this:

And, just to make sure it’s really dead, be sure to squeeze all the life out of it:

R.I.P. Large blue inflatable crayon.  You won’t likely be missed because Tucker has a disgusting amount of other toys.

  • Sara - I understand that the biting thing could be an OCD behavior. Apparently it’s not that uncommon in the OCD world. It might be another spectrum behavior. Maybe.

    Or not.

…but then, what kid hasn’t wanted to pop a balloon just to see what would happen?October 19, 2012 – 10:04 pmReplyCancel
