Good, bad and cheesy peezee

Ah, Sunday.  At the beginning of this four-day weekend, you seemed so far away and yet still an active participant in the bliss of spending extended time with family, playing outdoors, eating comfort food (if stuffing isn’t something we should incorporate into more meals, I don’t know what is) and relaxing.  Yet, here you are, almost over.  I don’t want to see you yet.  I want it to be Saturday, the day where there’s still hope that I’ll get more time with Tucker outside and generally get more of the mundane done.

This particular Thanksgiving holiday didn’t exactly go as planned.  Tucker was sick. Robert and I are now sick, too.  The four-day weekend is winding down.  We had some good.  And some bad.  And some cheesy peezee.

The good

We made it to my in-law’s house despite the traffic and enjoyed lots of family bonding with those that we don’t see as often as we’d like to.

I laughed like a loon with my sister-in-law and mother-in law (which I so needed).

We ate great food.  Did I mention STUFFING?

Tucker got to play outside, see adorable little baby cows and ride the 4-wheeler with his PaPaw.  The weather was amazingly warm and friendly.

Today, we went to one of Tucker’s all time favorite places.  The car wash.  It’s cool.  They have a set of five or six windows running the length of the hallway so you can see your car going through the wash.  He loves it.

Big boy then got to place the tip in the cool metal box.

Not too shabby.

The bad

I have a bunch of family and friends that are too far away to have laughed with.  Sucks.

I ran out of my usual face wash and lotion.  I don’t use the uber expensive stuff, but have learned long ago that my skin rebels against the cheap stuff. In an attempt to save a few bucks, I bought something different.  Whether it’s the wash or the lotion (I suspect the lotion), I am a 16-year old girl with pimples.  Except they’re right under my left eye.  And not that pop-able.  Sigh.

Tucker was sick. Robert and I are now sick, too.

All of us are tired.  Tonight, in an attempt to encourage Tucker to let me cut his nails, I jokingly said “well, it’s either your nails or time for bed.  What’ll it be?”  He said “Bed!” and walked upstairs.  He wasn’t kidding.

Oh and I’m on day 5 of my fat jeans.  This is never a good sign.

The cheesy peezee

What can I say. This was really good.

Note:  Tucker pronounces “pizza” as “peezee.”  It’s actually quite adorable.  Yes, I know I should have clarified this sooner.  Perhaps I give you too much credit.  Which would be evident, too, in my totally failed link party.  Sigh. I suppose I have material for a coming soon post about how I threw a linkie party and nobody came.  Weep…
