T’was the Night Before BlogHer

T’was the night before BlogHer, 11:08 pm;
while trying to pack, I wipe my son’s ass from a late-night BM.

Mom please help me butt itchy

Wondering what to wear has become a bit of a chore,
’cause I realize my pants were each designed for a bore.

A bore I am not and the last minute shitshow I know,
so I write a letter to me saying “You’ll be fine! Just go with the flow!”

Anxiety, self-doubt, and blog cards I’ve got;
will I forget my lotion and razor or not?

I breath and I say that what’s forgotten at home
I can buy there, that it’s fun “when in Rome!”

This story lacks meaning as does many of my rants
but I’m thankful that this time, I don’t feel like I can’t.

six sentence story

Just a silly post because I’m completely unready for BlogHer15 tomorrow and have been wanting to link up to Ivy’s six-sentence story. The prompt was “Letter.”

If you wanna read something more blog-like and real, read this about how my little boy turned six and did all of the things.
